The most precise professional targeting available on any ad platform, and the most expensive clicks. We'll tell you honestly whether your deal size justifies it before you spend anything.
LinkedIn Ads is a paid advertising platform built around professional identity rather than consumer interest. Where other platforms infer who someone is from their behaviour, LinkedIn knows their job title, their employer, their industry, their seniority and their skills — because they entered it themselves and keep it current for professional reasons.
That makes it the strongest platform available for B2B, and a poor fit for most consumer businesses. It's also, by a significant margin, the most expensive place to buy a click.
LinkedIn clicks routinely cost several times what the same click costs on Meta or Google. That isn't a flaw in how campaigns are built — it's the platform's pricing, and no agency can optimise it away.
It's worth paying when your deal size justifies it. A business selling a service worth tens of thousands over a client relationship can absorb an expensive click and still come out ahead. A business selling a low-margin product usually cannot, regardless of how well the campaign is run.
It's the wrong platform when the maths doesn't work. If your average deal value is small, or your sales cycle depends on volume rather than precision, Google or Meta will almost always deliver better returns for the same budget.
We'll work this out with you before recommending LinkedIn at all. Telling a business to spend on the wrong platform costs us more in reputation than the fee is worth.
Native ads in the LinkedIn feed — single image, video, or carousel. The most versatile format, and usually the starting point for a new account.
Forms that open inside LinkedIn, pre-filled with the person's profile data, so they never leave the platform. High completion rates by design — with a real trade-off covered in the FAQ below.
Ads delivered directly to a LinkedIn inbox. Expensive per send and intrusive if misused, effective when the offer genuinely warrants a direct approach.
Downloadable content — reports, guides, whitepapers — delivered natively in the feed. Strong for B2B where the buying cycle involves research rather than an immediate decision.
Smaller placements in the sidebar and feed, personalised using profile data. Lower cost per impression, lower prominence, useful for retargeting and sustained visibility rather than primary campaigns.
This is the actual reason to use LinkedIn, and it's worth being specific about what's possible:
Job title and function — reach the people who make or influence the decision, not everyone at the company
Seniority — separate a director from a coordinator in the same department
Company size and industry — filter to the businesses that fit how you actually sell
Named company targeting — build campaigns around a specific account list
Skills and groups — reach people by professional expertise and community membership
No other advertising platform offers this level of professional precision, because no other platform has people voluntarily maintaining their career details.
Targeting so narrow the campaign can't spend. The most common mistake on this platform specifically — stacking filters until the audience is a few hundred people, then wondering why nothing delivers.
Consumer-style creative on a professional platform. What works on Instagram reads as noise in a LinkedIn feed. The audience is the same person in a different mindset.
Lead Gen Forms collecting volume, not qualified leads. Pre-filled forms are easy to submit, which raises completion rates and lowers intent per lead. Volume looks good in a report and converts poorly if the offer isn't right.
No retargeting layer. Cold traffic on the most expensive platform available, with no cheaper follow-up sequence to convert the people who showed interest but didn't act.
Budget too low to gather meaningful data. LinkedIn's costs mean a small test budget produces too few conversions to judge anything from. Underfunding a test wastes the whole spend rather than half of it.
The same method behind our paid advertising work generally — see how it applies across every platform we manage.
We start by working out whether LinkedIn is right for your business at all, then build audience structure and creative before spending scales up. Campaigns get optimised continuously against qualified pipeline rather than raw lead volume, since a LinkedIn lead that never becomes an opportunity is an expensive way to fill a spreadsheet.
You get monthly reporting in plain language, with live account access whenever you want to check in between.
We're not a LinkedIn partner or reseller, and we're not affiliated with LinkedIn. We manage campaigns inside your own LinkedIn Campaign Manager account, which stays yours.
Pricing depends on the scope and complexity of the work — how many campaigns and audience segments are being managed, how much creative and copy development is involved, whether Lead Gen Forms and CRM integration are part of it, and the depth of reporting required.
LinkedIn also carries genuine minimum viable spend. Below a certain budget, campaigns can't gather enough data to optimise against, and we'd rather tell you that than take a fee for managing something set up to fail.
Ad spend goes directly to LinkedIn, never through us.
Talk to us ↗Higher than most platforms, because LinkedIn's cost per click is higher. The number depends on your market and how many audience segments you're testing — but the practical threshold is whatever produces enough conversions to learn from within a reasonable timeframe. We'll give you a realistic figure for your situation rather than a headline number.
Usually not. LinkedIn's advantage is professional targeting, and if the person you're selling to isn't being reached through their job, you're paying a premium for data you don't need. There are exceptions — high-value consumer services where profession genuinely predicts the buyer — but they're exceptions.
Not automatically. Pre-filled forms make submission easy, which increases volume and reduces intent. They work well when the offer is genuinely valuable and the follow-up is fast. They produce expensive noise when used to gate something nobody particularly wanted. We build the form and the offer together for that reason.
Google Ads captures people actively searching for a solution — usually the highest-intent traffic available. Meta is cheaper per click and can work for B2B with the right creative. LinkedIn costs the most and offers targeting neither can match. Most B2B businesses we work with run more than one.
This page covers paid campaigns specifically. Organic LinkedIn presence — content, posting, engagement — sits under social media marketing. We don't do manual outreach or connection-request automation.
LinkedIn is one part of the broader paid advertising we run, coordinated as one budget rather than managed in isolation.
